Casa do Figureiro
No século 17, frades da ordem de São Francisco de Assis trouxeram figuras de arte sacra da Itália para montar um presépio no Convento de Santa Clara. Para completa-lo, artesãs da cidade começaram a produzir animais e receberam o nome de figureiras. Atualmente, os figureiros não são apenas mulheres e trabalham com argila e barro para criar obras que retratam o dia a dia do interior e também criar objetos religiosos. O lugar também funciona como espaço de exposições e é possível adquirir essas peças.

Sítio do Picapau Amarelo e Museu Monteiro Lobato
Taubaté é a morada do Sítio do Picapau Amarelo, que representa parte da infância de muitos brasileiros. O lugar escolhido é o sítio onde Monteiro Lobato, autor da produção, nasceu e viveu até seus 12 anos. O espaço, tombado como Patrimônio Histórico Estadual e Nacional, carrega memórias de Lobato e de sua família, além de servir como palco para apresentações de teatro com seus personagens.

Santuário Santa Terezinha
Alguns contam que o Santuário Santa Terezinha foi o primeiro a ser erguido no mundo, por iniciativa do bispo Dom Epaminondas Nunes de Ávila e Silva. A igreja chama a atenção por sua arquitetura neogótica, inspirada na igreja francesa Saint Pierre de Lisieux, na cidade onde viveu Santa Terezinha. Durante a noite, a praça onde se encontra a igreja é ponto de encontro de adolescentes da cidade.

Museu Mazzaropi
O museu é uma grande homenagem ao artista e cineasta Amácio Mazzaropi. Com arquitetura diferenciada, a casa conta com mais de 20 mil peças em seu acervo, entre as quais estão fotos, móveis, objetos cênicos e pessoais, documentos históricos e filmes.

Mercado Municipal
Seria impossível conhecer uma cidade, sem dar uma passadinha pelo seu Mercado Municipal. Em Taubaté, ainda é possível comprar peças de artesão locais, ingredientes regionais e provar a gastronomia regional.
