Shopify and BigCommerce are ecommerce specific website builders. Their higher tier plans have very advanced sales features for large, scaling online retailers. These are great options to have if you’ve got grand ambitions, but most small businesses won’t need them.

As with a website designer, you’ll have to pay for your own hosting and domain name. These are the only guaranteed monthly costs. The others are optional, depending on your requirements. Many of these are free, but you might want to fork out for premium add ons if you’re after something more particular.
